Fundraise for us
A named contact, materials that are not tacky, and honest figures about what your total actually funds. We will not inflate it to make your event sound bigger.
Formats that work
Six things people actually run
The ranges below are what we typically see, not what we hope for. A workplace campaign with matched giving is consistently the most effective.
-
Workplace campaign
A month-long push with matched giving from your employer. The single most effective format we see.
- Typically raises
- $2,000 – $15,000
- Effort
- Moderate
-
School or university drive
Assemblies, a themed week and a fundraising target. We provide the teaching materials and a speaker where we can.
- Typically raises
- $500 – $4,000
- Effort
- Moderate
-
Birthday or celebration
Ask for donations instead of gifts. Small, easy, and surprisingly consistent.
- Typically raises
- $200 – $1,500
- Effort
- Low
-
Sponsored challenge
A run, a ride, a climb. We will send a shirt and will not pester your sponsors afterwards.

- High
-
Community event
A quiz, a supper, a concert. Works best where a local person is already trusted.

- Moderate
-
In memory
A collection in someone's memory, handled quietly and with a named person at our end throughout.

What we send
You will not be doing this alone
Fundraising for a charity is often lonelier than it should be — a downloadable pack and an autoresponder. Tell us what you are planning and you get a person, materials in your language, and a realistic figure to aim at.
Tell us your plan-
A named contact
One person who answers your emails, not a shared inbox and not a chatbot.
-
Materials that are not tacky
Posters, slides and printed sheets designed properly, in your language, without a starving-child photograph.
-
A speaker where we can
If there is a team member within reasonable distance, we will send them. If not, we will record something for your event.
-
Honest impact figures
What your total actually funds, with the assumptions shown. We will not inflate it to make your event sound bigger.
For context
What a total actually funds
Costed from our own accounts, including the share that goes to oversight. These are averages across programmes, not the cheapest example we could find.
-
$500
Trains and equips one community health worker for a year, including supervision.
-
$2,000
Runs a rural health post for a month — staff, medicines and the cold chain.
-
$8,000
Builds and commissions a water point serving roughly 400 people, with a three-year maintenance plan.
Any amount is worth raising. A birthday collection of $200 is not a rounding error to a clinic that needs a cold box.
