Six health areas, one behaviour change approach
What we are actually solving
The project works to ensure that Cambodians seek and receive quality health care with decreased financial hardship, through more sustainable systems working across six health areas: tuberculosis, family planning, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, malaria, and nutrition.
It improves the ability of individuals to adopt healthy behaviours by increasing self-efficacy, helping priority populations perceive the characteristics of high-quality services more accurately, and strengthening the social norms that support positive behaviour.
Our approach
Three things we insist on
-
Six areas at once
Tuberculosis, family planning, maternal and child health, WASH, malaria and nutrition addressed together rather than separately.
-
Self-efficacy
Increasing the confidence of priority populations to adopt positive behaviour and reduce harmful behaviour.
-
Social norms
Strengthening the norms that make healthy behaviour the expected thing rather than the exception.
